Synopsis

R.J Cutler (producer of THE WAR ROOM) and David Van Taylor (director of DREAM DECEIVERS) documented the dark side of the American political process in their acclaimed account of the 1994 Virginia Senate race between Oliver North and Sen. Charles Robb. The film, which was completed by Universal Studios, was hailed as the best American documentary since Hoop Dreams by the Washington Post.

R.J. Cutler is the president and founder of Actual Reality Pictures. R.J. is a director and producer who has worked in film, television, theater and radio. He is a Peabody and Emmy Award winner, and has been nominated for an Academy Award, two additional Emmys, two GLAAD awards, an Independent Spirit Award and a Producers Guild Award.

David Van Taylor

David Van Taylor is a producer and director whose credits include the landmark PBS series With God on Our Side, a program The Boston Globe called "a godsend ... [with] an intellectual scope rare for TV." His film Dream Deceivers: The Story Behind James Vance vs. Judas Priest was honored with a Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Documentary Association and an Emmy nomination. Van Taylor's other credits include producing segments for Michael Moore's TV Nation and for MTV.
