Annoyed by the incessant references to his apparent sex appeal, the actor did everything he could to change the perception of him as a seducer. However, even in his most unsympathetic roles, he continued to captivate audiences around the world.

Consistently challenging both the stereotypes and the celebrations of Hollywood, Paul Newman preferred to exercise his freedom of thought. After enrolling in the Actors Studio in the early 1950’s, Newman had played in over 60 films, working with some of the most iconic directors in film history. Although relatively under the radar, his career as a director, with a dozen films under his belt, reflects the diversity and richness of his artistic vision.

Modest, shy, secretive, and determined to protect his own privacy, Newman did not give himself up easily and often used his humor to distance himself from the media frenzy. Director

Pierre-François Gaudry studied information and communication technologies from 1984 to 1987 at the Higher School of Economic and Commercial Sciences and in 1988 at CELSA of the University of Paris IV. From 1991 to 1993, he worked in the Paris region for a Romanian company then from 1995 to 2001 acquired experience in the field of cinematographic production within the subsidiary of France Télévisions France Télévisions Distribution.

Since then, he has produced films himself. Some of them were broadcast on the broadcaster arte. Some of them have received awards; For example, Le genie magdalénien (2009) received the International Archaeological Film Festival 2009 in Brussels and the Audience Award at the Objective Prehistory Festival 2012 in Pech Merle. For the production of Le charisme politique (2007) he received the grand prize at the European Scientific Film Festival in Vienna
