Trip to Tehuacan

lip all her life… and she walked around with this black scarf on her head and this scarf always covered her face… and we did the surgery… and it went very very well, and at the end of the surgery, we woke her up. We had a mirror and we showed her how she looked. And then we
showed her a Polaroid that we had taken (of her) before we did the surgery. And she took this Polaroid and tore it up…” This woman had lived her whole life hidden behind a scarf and all she needed was a thirty minute operation.
